James T. Zuba concentrates his practice of law on litigation, with emphasis on family law, personal injury, and federal criminal defense.
He prides himself on aggressively pursuing his clients' interests with the goal of meeting the needs of each and every client through whatever means are available to him under the law in a given area. His professionalism and integrity are his trademarks.
His success is a result of his poise in and out of the courtroom combined with his knowledge of the law and his commitment to his clients. Jim knows that the key to successfully representing his clients is knowing their goals and objectives, preparing diligently to meet those goals and objectives, and using his natural courtroom abilities to obtain the satisfaction of his clients.
Jim is an experienced trial attorney with a successful litigation track record in the areas of family law, personal injury, and criminal law. His solid business background and understanding of financial issues, combined with his commitment to excellence and high moral standards, make him an elite in his field.
Mr. Zuba received his Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University in Chicago, graduating in the top 10% of his class. After graduating from DePaul, he worked as a federal prosecutor for the United States Department of Justice for 12 years, where he earned three special achievement awards for his successful prosecution of various white-collar and drug-related offenses.
In 1995, he earned the Director's Award for his role in the successful prosecution of 31 members of a street gang who were charged with narcotics and firearms offenses. In accepting this award, he was personally recognized by the Attorney General of the United States. Jim has also been an instructor of a criminal trial advocacy course held in Washington, D.C. for new attorneys.
Mr. Zuba received his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University, graduating magna cum laude while earning a B.S. in Accounting. He is a C.P.A. and has worked for two different international public accounting firms before attending law school. His experience as a C.P.A. laid the groundwork for his success as an attorney.

Linda M. Zuba
Partner
Linda Zuba practices in the areas of personal injury, health care law, public interest law, and general practice.
Linda is dedicated to giving a voice to the people who need it the most. She aims to protect individual rights, advance justice, and enhance the public good.
Linda’s experience as a master’s-prepared registered nurse uniquely qualifies her to help individuals who have suffered a serious injury through the negligence, recklessness, or intentional misconduct of another person.
Personal injury claims can be overwhelming and highly complex without the assistance of an attorney. Linda helps clients through this complicated task, and she brings to each personal injury case her expertise as an attorney and her competence and sensitivity as a registered nurse. Through her vigorous representation, Linda significantly improves her clients’ chances of getting adequately compensated for the injuries suffered.
For over 15 years, Linda has practiced as a health care professional in the areas of critical care and flight nursing. Linda was a certified critical care nurse, trauma nurse specialist, nursing instructor at Saint Anthony School of Nursing, and an instructor at Northern Illinois University School of Nursing. Linda was also a certified instructor for Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Linda spent many years lecturing on topics that would improve health care for critical patients.
Linda has found her background in health care to be particularly helpful when assisting clients in matters related to health care and patients’ legal rights. Linda took pride in being a patient advocate and providing highly competent and compassionate care to patients. Now, as an attorney, Linda takes pride in being a legal advocate who provides close personal services to each client and expert compassionate advice and representation to clients.
Linda believes in giving back to her community and as a result, she is actively involved in community boards and committees aimed at improving the lives and health care for individuals and families in the Rockford area.
