Adoption dispute ends in child support obligation

When most Illinois residents think about child support, they assume the payments are made to either divorced or non-married parents. However, one woman who was recently required to pay child support is an adoptive mom. The woman made national headlines after sending her adopted son home to his birth country and asking the Russian courts to annul the adoption. The woman has since lost a battle over child support and has been required to pay a significant sum for the boy's care.
